Le problème est très compliqué et relève d’une « analyse cycle de vie ». Grace à cette technique , on peux clairement détecter où se situe l’impact environnemental le plus fort. Il y a des sites internet qui utilisent ce genre de méthode (style compagnie de train vs avion)

Pour un frigo, l’impact fort c’est l’utilisation. Donc c’est très intelligent de se poser la question si le changer vaut la peine. En Europe, aujourd’hui, les filières de recyclage sont plutôt bien développées.

En général ca vaut la peine de le changer ou de procéder à un bon nettoyage et changement des joints d’étanchéité. (défaut visible par caméra thermique)

Même si le nouveau consommera 3 fois moins, on sait que les frigos d’aujourd’hui ont une durée de vie estimée de 9 ans (cf. vendeur Darty ou autres). C’est donc difficile. Ensuite vient l’envie, on regarde, ils sont beaux et pas rouillés comme nos vieux frigos. Et puis, quant à la consomation électrique, on a déjà beaucoup plus de gadgets qu’il y a 20 ans : consoles, téléphones, ordinateurs, etc. Pour moi, ce n’est donc pas un argument « valable » pour changer de frigo.
Enfin, pour moi, être responsable et penser à la planète, c’est acheter des objets de qualité qui dureront dans le temps, même si ils sont plus chers. Quand je vois les gens qui achètent une bouilloire électrique à 8 euros tous les 6 mois parce que l’autre a lâché au bout de quelques mois, ca me saoûle. Autant mettre le prix et la garder des années, et au final, ca revient moins cher. Et si on n’a l’argent, on attend.
