Le basalte, ou d’autres roches sont justement sous terre, dans les profondeurs.
Donc roches poreuses (déjà enfouies) dans lesquelles on va injecter notre CO2 qui va réagir et se fixer (théoriquement). Pas de bouchon, pas de trucs bizarres, mais faut attendre des résultats en vrai grandeur.

Re-voir Total à Lacq, où on va recharger des zônes profondes dans lesquelles le gaz (de Lacq) avait été pompé pendant des décennies.

Autres problèmes : transport du CO2 car il n’est pas produit là où on peut l’enterrer, et aussi « écolos », car à Lacq ceux qui manifestent contre ces essais sont tout d’abord des « écolos » ???

Le basalte est une roche riche en calcium qui subit l’érosion, donc en partie une dissolution par les eaux de ruissellement.
L’eau ainsi chargée en ion calcium peut se combiner avec le CO2 injecté pour créer du carbonate de calcium insoluble (c’est le calcaire qu’avec Calgon votre machine à laver serait centenaire …).
On a ainsi une roche inorganique dans laquelle serait fixée de manière quasi permanente le CO2.
