Mais vous comprenez, ma bonne dame, il faut pouvoir polluer pour extraire les sables bitumeux de l’Alberta (= pétrole), pour devenir la nouvelle Arabie Saoudite, et avoir plein de pognon pour contrôler le passage du Nord-Ouest, histoire de devenir le douanier du monde quand le réchauffement l’aura ouvert. Mais on mettra des sous dans les réserves Inuit et dans les parcs naturels pour faire joli — et attirer les touristes. Comment ça, j’ai perdu mes illusions ? 😉

Effectivement, je suis très concerné par REACH que je trouve par ailleurs une excellente idée MAIS dans un monde de marché global il faut également globaliser les contraintes.
En clair REACH empêchera l’utilisation de certaines substances chimiques en Europe mais n’interdira pas d’importer des produits finis contenant ces mêmes substances chimiques … aberrant, non ?

Une étude menée en Europe montre que si les contraintes environnementales et d’hygiène au travail étaient transposées dans des pays moins regardant (qui a dit la Chine ?) le prix des produits finis seraient très nettement moins compétitif qu’aujourd’hui !
