Clair que s’ils s’écartent ils vont voler plus longtemps et donc… En réalité, les vols se font suivant une route prédéterminée (qui font souvent moultes détours) mais dès que l’on peut, on leur donne des raccourcis. Par exemple si on prévoit un conflit entre deux vols, un moyen écologique et économique de le régler est de donner une route directe. Parfois, on les oblige à rester plus longtemps à une certaine altitude (pas forcément optimale). Mais bon, c’est d’abord la sécurité bien entendu…

C’est vrai que normalement ça s’inscrit dans un effort global. Et c’est pour ça aussi que je mentionnais les montées en continu. En gros : on monte le plus vite possible et sans paliers à l’altitude permettant la meilleure consommation; en route, on essaye d’avoir un trajet le plus direct possible et à l’arrivée, on fait une descente en continu avec un calcul de pente permettant de ne (pratiquement) pas utiliser les moteurs.

Le problème pourl es départs et les arrivées c’est qu’il faudrait que le trafic soit fluide. Mais le plus souvent il y a des pics (quelle idée de vouloir tous arriver en même temps, je vous jure 😉 ). La météo peut venir perturber tout ça aussi (piste indisponible, orages à éviter,…)

Il me semble que pour les premiers tests à Bruxelles on parle de donner la priorité à ces vols « écologiques ». Ce seraient donc les autres qui s’écarteraient pour qu’ils puissent continuer leur descente…

Ce qui me tue parfois, c’est de voir le comportement de certaines compagnies… Par exemple : il y a des taxes supplémentaires pour les vols qui décollent ou attérissent à Zaventem pendant la nuit. Et j’ai déjà entendu un pilote demander à faire un petit tour supplémentaire (360°) histoire d’attérir après 6h du matin et d’éviter ces taxes… :-((

Je disais ça parce parfois aussi les avions doivent attendre qu’une piste se dégage et donc là on perdra tout le bénéfice non ?

Mais ce n’est pas non plus peu de chose à mettre en place malheureusement. Je travaille dans le contrôle aérien, à Zaventem, et on a eu des jours de test pour ce genre de procédure avec Amsterdam le mois dernier. Ça demande beaucoup d’anticipation de coordination entre les secteurs concernés (Eurocontrol, la Belgique et les Pays-Bas en l’occurence).
Il y a aussi des techniques pour les montées en continu qui sont étudiées.
