Même au Brésil ça pose des problèmes de concurrence avec d’autres productions alimentaires.

On sort su cadre strictement écologique mais ça me rappelle un article du Monde Diplomatique que j’ai lu il y a peu de temps. Il dresse un tableau assez peu flatteur de la produstion d’éthanolau Brésil. Et ce que ce soit au niveau social ou au niveau écologique…

Parfois, il y en a aussi dans le carburant, mais ça c’est un autre souci. Pour les NOx thermiques (non liés au fuel), le nom le dit bien, ils sont thermiques donc plus la température est élevée, plus on en aura ! Le Diesel travaillant en mélange pauvre est donc évidemment plus faible que les autres à ce niveau, par contre pour l’alcool, je dois me renseigner mais c’est possible que ce soit plus haut que l’essence.

Le problème avec le Brésil, c’est que c’est une exception qui sert d’exemple. La canne à sucre est un produit fabuleux, même après production d’éthanol, il leur reste du déchet utilisable… Mais en fait, ce pays possède des ressources immenses donc ils ne voient pas l’énergie de la même manière que nous. J’en ai beaucoup discuté avec le visiteur brésilien qui est chez nous en ce moment, par exemple, un moteur flex fuel, vu qu’il est « adapté » pour fonctionner avec les 2 carburants, n’est en fait optimisé pour aucun des deux et donc consomme plus quelle que soit la situation, logique… Mais est-ce une bonne solution ?

Autre exemple, chez eux, ils ne cherchent pas le meilleur moyen d’utiliser l’énergie, par exemple utiliser des déchets pour faire de la cogénération en passant par le méthane. Non, eux, ils ont tout ce qui leur faut donc ils préfèreront par exemple produire de l’alcool, qui a plus de valeur sur le marché car c’est un carburant plus « confortable », quitte à ce que le procédé de conversion soit moins rentable énergétiquement.
